The cut-off was determined by RSSB keeping in mind the total number of vacancies, the difficulty level of the exam, and the overall performance of candidates who appeared. Only candidates scoring equal to or above these marks have been included in the provisional merit list.

Why Were 5,761 Candidates Disqualified?

Many candidates were surprised to find a disqualification notice alongside the result. RSSB has clarified that exactly 5,761 candidates have been disqualified because they left more than 10% of the total questions completely blank — meaning they either did not attempt those questions at all, or failed to darken any option circle on their OMR sheets. This is a rule that was already mentioned in the official notification, so candidates should keep this in mind for any future exams.

What Information Is Shown in the REET Result PDF?

When you open the merit list PDF and find your roll number, you will see the following details listed against your entry.

Your full name, roll number, registration number, category, date of birth, total marks in the exam, the marks you secured, and your rank in the merit list are all included. This gives a complete picture of your standing in the recruitment process.

What to Do After Checking the REET Level 1 Result 2026

Qualifying the written exam is just one part of the journey. There is still a structured process ahead before you receive an appointment as a Primary Teacher. Here is what comes next, step by step.

Step 1 – Submit the Pre-DV Scrutiny Form All candidates who have qualified — along with those falling within 2 marks of the cut-off — must submit the detailed application-cum-scrutiny form online through the SSO portal between 18th June 2026 and 2nd July 2026. This step is mandatory. Missing this window means losing your chance at document verification, regardless of your score. The form must be submitted only at rssb.rajasthan.gov.in.

Step 2 – Document Verification (DV) After scrutiny form submission, candidates whose documents match the required criteria will be called for the actual Document Verification (DV) round. You must carry originals along with self-attested photocopies of all required documents.

Step 3 – Final Merit List and School Allotment Once DV is completed, RSSB will publish the final merit list along with district-level school allocation based on your preference and merit rank.

Step 4 – Joining and Probation After receiving your official posting order, you will join as a Primary Teacher and serve a probation period of 2 years from the date of joining.

Documents Required for Document Verification

When you are called for DV, make sure you carry both original documents and self-attested photocopies of each one. Showing up without any one of these can result in rejection at this stage.

You will need your REET Mains 2026 Admit Card and application form, marksheets and certificates for Class 10th, 12th, Graduation, and B.Ed./D.El.Ed., your REET Eligibility Certificate, category or caste certificate (OBC/SC/ST/EWS as applicable), Domicile Certificate (Mool Niwas) of Rajasthan, character certificate and income proof, passport-size photographs, and a valid photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport.

How Was the REET 2026 Score Normalised?

Since the exam was conducted in multiple shifts and sessions between January 17 and 20, 2026, the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) applied a score normalisation formula to ensure that no candidate was disadvantaged due to variation in difficulty levels across shifts.

The formula works by scaling the raw marks of each candidate based on the mean and standard deviation of their respective shift, compared to the shift with the highest average performance. This makes the final scores comparable across all shifts and ensures the selection process remains fair for everyone.
